Stepping in the end of the year, arts world is never ended. A pin a day is a groat a year. Keep Art Going - JCCAC Winter Exhibition 2024 invited Curators Rebecca Hon, Shing-yan Kam and Simon Yung, comprising traditional and contemporary arts medium, to praise the magnificence of insignificance in daily life.
Forking Horizons: A Multidimensional Community Documentary Art Exhibition: Each movement represents a re-examination of our relationship with the environment, allowing us to find balance between anxiety and anticipation. These landscapes carry our longing for home, reflections on alienation, and desires for belonging, enabling us to explore eternal moments within the rapidly changing city. >> detail
When Pebbles Become Me: I build my garden on the pebbles I gleaned from the mountain afar. Now I wear the stripes and patches of the coloured pebbles under the nighty star. >> detail
Relieved—Seal Engraving x Art Exhibition: Seal engraving and various arts are carriers of expressing emotions. This exhibition reflects the artist’s thoughts, which include philosophy, sharing of experiences, and enjoyment of oneself, thereby exploring life for future. >> detail
Co-presented and curated by JCCAC, this joint exhibition will be held in Galleries and Common spaces. Capturing the ordinary daily life in the community and pieced a unique picture of our city; the whispering among the small stones and fragile glass visualises their soft but resilient inner world; By focusing on the inconspicuous seal engraving in traditional Chinese calligraphy and ink painting, deriving and exploring its shining value. Various programmes to be held during exhibition period encourages the public to participate and have fun, connecting the community with art. These programmes include exhibition tours, special workshops and studio tours.
